Faculty of Geodesy awards for Hvar Observatory staff

On Friday, 25 September 2026, at the ceremonial session of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb, three faculty awards were presented to members of the Hvar Observatory staff in recognition of their scientific and professional contributions. The Award for Scientific Activity for the period from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2025 was presented to Dr. sc. Mateja Dumbović for her outstanding scientific work and contributions to research during the five-year period.The Award for a Published Scientific Paper for the period from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025 was presented to Dr. sc. Jaša Čalogović for the paper “Constraints to the drag-based reverse modeling”, published in Astronomy & Astrophysics (A&A, 695, A64).The Award for Overall Contribution to the Faculty was presented to Dr. sc. Bojan Vršnak in recognition of his long-standing contributions to the Faculty, the scientific community, and the advancement of science.
