Morning coffee breaks will be served near the meeting room. There will be coffee, tea, juice, water pastries and fruit. Afternoon coffee breaks will not be served near the meeting room. Since we only have one session in the afternoon participants can get free coffee/tea from the Amfora lobby bar upon showing their name tag.

• Meeting place: in front of Amfora hotel (conference place)
• The tour to the fort will take about 45 minutes. Afterwards, all interested participants can continue the tour to Hvar town to visit some of Hvar's most famous cultural monuments, such as the Hvar Theatre (the oldest public theatre in Europe) and the Arsenal (built as a maintenance shipyard for the galley in the 14th century). The rest of the tour in Hvar town takes another 1 hour.
• The tour is led by 3 licenced guides who will divide all participants into 3 groups. All entrance fees (Fort, Theatre, Arsenal) are covered for XVIIIth HAC participants.

LOC-guided hike to the Observatory starting from Amfora hotel to those that wish to see the Hvar Observatory. The hike is moderately difficult and takes about 1 hour to climb (cca 200 meters up the hill). For those who want to see the Observatory but find it challenging to do the hike LOC will provide transport by cars. However, the number of car seats is limited and will be given on a first-come-first served basis. You can register for a car seat at the LOC desk throughout the week. There is no need to register for the hike, just be there in time. To those that decide to hike we recommend to bring water, sunscreen and a hat. We recommend all who come to the Observatory to bring a camera, as the Observatory offers an amazing view of the town and its surrounding.
