Nikša Novak, technician at Hvar Observatory was retired at the begining of this year, after 36 years of employment at Hvar Observatory. Nikša was irreplacable in keeping the Hvar Observatory running smoothly, but also one of the most diligent observers with double solar telescope. Therefore, his colleagues organized a farewell party for him on 28.01.2015. at the Observatory and awarded him a convenient farewell present - a woodcut of Nikša observing with the double solar telescope in the early days of his employment.
